Mutual Proposal Critiques
- 1. What is your favourite aspect of the proposed game? Why?
- 2. What is your least favorite aspect? Why?
- 3. What one change or addition would you suggest to most improve the game?
Vittorio Megaro
1. I really like the ambientation and above all I like that players will want taht the resources of the dream produce but at the same time not produce too much. Whith this trick the players must pay much more attention to their strategies.
2. Despite what said in the feedback 1., I think this game risk to have a lack of dynamicity. I depict a scenario in the game where the two players still will not fight too much against each other to conquest the game world; they will stay in their own zone and manage mostly that part of the map.
3. I did not completely understand the role of Hypnos, but I can see how it will railroad the two players too fight against each other to capture him (since is one entity for two players). If a scenario as the one described in feedback 2. will appear I suggest to focus on the Hypnos entity and change his role in the game to make it more dynamic.
Maybe the introduction of a multiplayer with more than 2 players will also help improve the game in the same direction.

1. First of all I like your story a lot and the effort that you put to conceive something where dreams really play a role. I also like your goal of doing something that is deeply strategic but in the same time fast to play …but (see point 2
)
2. ..finding a good balance between these two aspects might be VERY difficult and risky. Turning it into a pure, slow strategic game would be bad in my opinion, especially because of the Xbox controller, which doesn't go really well with those games.
3. I would maybe try to find a way to simplify the gameplay and the rules that the players have to follow. With your well thought story, I also see a lot of potential in creating a single player mode with different levels, but of course this would take a lot of time.
Emanuele Rudel
1. The background story is cool and is pertinent with the dreams theme. I also like the fact that the interaction between dreams is taken into account and it will determine the ending of the game because I find it very real.
2. The document says that one of the goals of the game is to be simple, but it seems to me that there are a lot of rules and strategies that can be adopted and therefore the gameplay could become more complex than you thought. I would think about simplifying the game in the beginning, and keeping extra rules for later.
3. If possible – i.e. the game area is large enough – I would consider adding more than two players because capturing others' dreams could result in an extremely funny and competitive party game.
