Playtesting
The play testing was done with an improved alpha version. This means that the version already had switches which allowed the players to change their color and the color of the collectible lights.This is the feedback we got from letting people playing this version. It’s ordered by category:
Control:
- switching back to horizontal when not pressing the stick anymore makes it hard to aim
- aiming and moving shouldn't be the same (decoupling) (going left and shouting right should be possible)
- Texture to orient in the level would be great
- environment shouldn't shine to much, should have texture to know what is light and what is environment
- fire and forget missiles (you may have a restricted amount of this missiles. You can mark an enemy and the missile will follow him)
- when a player loses live points the lights should respawn in the level
- add an effect to tell the player that he collected a light (else you are not sure if you collected something)
- Can't shoot through doors
- You get stuck when trying to go through a door (3-Person-View could help to see why you are stuck)
