PRISMUS

prismus_logo_1.png

In a world, where survival of the fittest means everything, you take control of a small prismus, eagerly waiting to grow and adapt. Eat the other creatures to become stronger and absorb their unique abilities to use them in your favor. But you'll never be the biggest predator out there. Be prepared to run and hide when the odds turn against you. Take use of your environment, which can be as much your friend as it can be your enemy. So adapt or perish.

Feedback

Team 1

positive:
  • Your game idea is clear, simple and intuitive. The players'll get the feeling of how it works after just a few minutes (at most). This is crucial, since the players might get annoyed very soon if they don't get the idea immediately. I think your game principle is as clear and intuitive as it can be for this kind of game.
  • The strategic aspect makes the game interesting and it doesn't require you to provide an extremely sophisticated environment. We think, the players will have a good play experience just from the strategic part of your game.

negative:
  • Your game reminds us a lot of Spore. There is nothing which separates your game idea from Spore (we think). Try to make your game more unique in some way.

Team 2

positive:
  • Simple macro-mechanic
  • Puzzle aspect (Capture/sacrifice different abilities)

negative:
  • If the impact of the abilities on the gameworld will be too small it is hard to keep the gamers in the game flow.

Team 4

positive:
  • The idea is simple and may be fun to play, like a more complex version of pacman.
  • The different abilities enhance the game (such as hiding in thorn bushes)
  • Boss battles / changing environment could be a good idea, as this gives a bigger goal in the game (it could even be one boss over and over with more health or speed)

negative:
  • The strategy could be very simple, if you just attack the smaller ones until you get bigger and then attack the bigger ones … and so on.

Team 5 positive:
  • Very simple mechanics with great potential for variation, but be careful not to overdo it

negative:
  • I think it will be hard to keep the players engaged once they obtain a skill

Old Stuff

LifeOfBlobTitle.jpg

The world of blob is a peaceful place, where uncountable, lovely, little blobs with wings and legs are floating around and rainbows are covering the sky and... wait, did I just say peaceful? No, certainly not! It's about predators and preys! About the survival of the fittest!! And to become fit your blob needs to eat! Eat as many other blobs as possible to grow and acquire the other blob's abilities by devouring their DNA! Improve your adaption to the environment: learn how to fly, swim, breath fire or protect yourself from the poisonous plants covering the planet. But be warned: you're not the only predator out there. The road to the top of evolution and - needless to say - world domination is dangerous and full of lovely, little blobs with sharp teeths and claws...

May your journey begin!
