Issues
Maybe we should change the energy representation from byte to float. (tb)
- + Continuous diffusion
- + Fractional application
- + Higher dynamic range of terrains...
- - 4 Times more memory required
- ? Diffusion has to be calculated in float... dont know wether this is faster ore much slower
- On the GPU, we have only 8 bits per channel as well
